Morag Weatherston studied art at Edinburgh College of Art (1964-68) in Scotland, specializing in mural design and tapestry weaving. Following school emigrated to Canada. For a time, she taught art in New Brunswick, before relocating to Prince Edward Island in 1991.
The town of Montague is located in Kings County at the eastern end of Prince Edward Island. Its precise location is N 46°10', W 62°39'.
The Garden of the Gulf Museum is PEI’s oldest community museum. It was established on May 16, 1958. The museum is located in an historical building that once was the the post office and customs office. It was designed by Thomas Fuller (1823-1898), Canada’s chief architect in the Department of Public Works from 1881-1896. The architectural style if Romanesque Revival. Although the plans for the Montague Bridge Post Office and Customs House originated in Ottawa, the supervising architects were David Stirling and William Critchlow Harris of Charlottetown.
