P. John Burden (b. 1943) was classically trained as a line engraver and painter in Great Britain. He moved to Prince Edward Island in 1976 where he continued his artistic career. Burden has developed a reputation as a traditional stain glass designer, book illustrator, and graphic artist. His work includes original acrylic paintings, watercolor paintings, and traditional and modern artist’s prints. His art is symbolic or surrealist.
