Sheriff's Sale Broadside

CA$125.00

Title: Sheriff’s Sale
Author: John Gates, Sheriff
Size: 13 3/4” x 8 1/2” (34.9 x 21.6 cm)
Description: Sheriff’s notice of intent to sell at public auction on November 1, 1881, several parcels of land along the Rattenbury Road in North Granville previously owned by Henry Wickett and William Wickett. The land was taken and seized by Joseph C. Morris for failure to pay a debt totaling $2,985.00.

The broadside shows edge wear and foxing. Small area of paper loss in the upper left corner - not affecting the printed text, which is letterpress. Several closed tears along the left margin have been reinforced with archival tape. Overall, an uncommon survivor.
