Description: Lithographic poster promoting a concert at the Confederation Centre of the Arts on Halloween, October 31st, 1984. The show included a number of performers from Newfoundland & Labrador and Prince Edward Island, including CODCO, Kelly Russell, Jim Payne, Ron Hynes, John Cousins, Des Walsh (poetry), Lenny Gallant, Edward and Ruth Fitzgerald, Jeanitta Bernard, Alton MacLean, along with MC Allan Rankin. The poster was designed by P.E.I. artist Floyd Trainor and features one of his block print images of a woman serenading a cow with her fiddle. The image is signed in the print with Trainor’s FT monogram at the bottom left.

Floyd Trainor (1946-1998 attended Southport School where he won several design competitions. He later studied commercial art at the Provincial Vocational Institute in Charlottetown, then attended the Nova Scotia School of Art and Design in Halifax. Trainor had a long association with the P.E.I. Nature Trust designing annual calendars and other promotional material during the 1980s and ‘90s.
