Dr. Lloyd Beck MacLeod (1931-2013) was born and raised in Grandview, PEI.  He attended Prince of Wales College, MacDonald College, and Cornell University, where he received his PhD in Soil Science. MacLeod is best known as the Director of the Canada Agriculture Research Station in Charlottetown (1970-1990). He died in Stratford.
